Registration and session information for the three-day June event now available
Boston Private, a leading wealth management and private banking company, [recently] announced that Dr. Cynthia Breazeal, founder and chief scientist of Jibo, Inc., will be the keynote speaker at its second annual Private Partnership CFO Conference. The conference is a three-day event tailored for CFOs in private equity, venture capital, fund of funds, real estate funds, and infrastructure funds. The conference will take place June 10-12 at Cape Cod’s Wequassett Resort and Golf Club. Registration and session details are now available at bostonprivatebank.com.
Described by the company as the “world’s first family robot,” Jibo may look like it’s straight out of a Pixar film, but the plans Dr. Breazeal has for the open social robotics platform are very real. Jibo first appeared on the scene last summer via its Indiegogo crowdfunding campaign, bringing in $2.3 million. Early this year, the company announced a $25.3 million in Series A financing.
“Our goal in hosting the conference is to provide relevant, timely sessions in a setting that encourages attendees to interact and network with like-minded peers,” said Mark Thompson, Boston Private CEO and president. “We look forward to building on the success of last year’s event to provide an even more engaging, informative and actionable experience.”
The Private Partnership CFO Conference brings attendees from across the country together to network in an intimate setting. Guests can participate in both small-group roundtable discussions and larger general sessions to discuss best practices, current trends and issues affecting the industry. Select roundtable discussions will qualify for CPE credit. Concurrent sessions will be held throughout the conference, giving CFOs the opportunity to participate in interactive discussions on a variety of topics. Returning sponsors of the event include Ernst & Young and Standish Management.
“We are delighted to partner once again with Boston Private as they host their second annual Private Partnership CFO Conference in June,” said Ernst & Young tax partner Blair Murphy. “Our sponsorship of the 2014 conference gave us a powerful opportunity to provide a timely and informative perspective on the critical issues and regulations facing our clients. It also gave us the opportunity to engage with our peers in a very unique setting. We very much look forward to participating as a sponsor again this year.”
“After our highly successful sponsorship of Boston Private’s inaugural Private Partnership CFO conference last year, Standish is honored to be involved again in 2015,” said Susan Gillick, partner, Standish Management. “The intimate roundtable sessions, as well as the unparalleled networking opportunities and the beautiful Cape Cod setting, add up to a can’t-miss event.”
