The beamust™ system seamlessly integrates security and privacy into existing on-line information and accounts
Greater Internet and mobile capabilities come with a price: loss of personal control.
“Anytime you send an e-mail, an invitation or share a contact, this information is processed and monitored – and you have no control,” notes Arnaud Cazenove, a Swiss information technology expert. “There has to be a better way to protect your data.”
Cazenove and his technical team have developed a better platform or ensuring privacy. It’s called beamust™ and represents a way to seamlessly integrate security and privacy into existing on-line information and accounts. The beamust™ system is set of web-based services – such as e-mail, calendar, messaging and social networks – which store data and personal information encrypted in one place.
“Our system protects your data, keeping it locked into a private and secure area,” says Cazenove. “With access from any device you become the absolute owner, taking full control of your privacy.”
The beamust™ universal mail service offers full functionality, such as folders for drafts, sent mail, spam, trash and tagged mail. The inbox which can be automatically filtered out into private mail, social notifications and promotional mail.
Users have cross-functionality over all e-mail accounts they hold, regardless whether they are provided by beamust™, conventional e-mail providers, a company or a personal website.
The beamust™ Smart Activity Center is a simple interface that offers insights into data and instant interoperability, enabling linking and navigation throughout the beamust™ environment.
Development of this all-in-one system has taken years and is requiring a substantial investment of funds. Cazenove estimates that $200,000 is needed to complete the first phase of this project.
To generate this capital, he has launched an Indiegogo campaign at indiegogo.com/projects/privacy-is-a-right-security-is-a-freedom.
Donations of any amount are welcome. For a $50 contribution, backers will receive access to the first beamust™ prototype and alpha release. For $200, you can get a two-year subscription to beamust™ Personal. With five referrals, the subscription can be extended an additional year.
Larger pledges are rewarded with beamust™ T-shirts, caps and discounts on multiple purchases.
“Every time you send information across the internet, whether it’s an e-mail, an entry in your social network calendar, etc., you become a player in a very big game of chance,” says Cazenove.
